Cristiano is now the 4th ever European player to score 70 international goals

1. Ferenc Puskás (Hungary/Spain): 84 goals in 85 games
2. Sándor Kocsis (Hungary): 75 goals in 68 games
3. Miroslav Klose (Germany): 71 goals in 137 games
4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal): 70 goals in 137 games

That's purely down to number of caps that he'll break that record, there didn't used to be so many games and against Andorra and San Marino part timers. The amount of shit teams in the European qualifiers compared to the South American ones as well.

His international record is the same as Klose's, except Klose has turned up at World Cups.

Cristiano has scored 601 goals during his career so far, he is now 204 goals away from top spot in all time goal scorers list.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_men's_association_football_players_with_500_or_more_goals

Messi has "only" 579 goals but he has 135 games less than Ronaldo. Because he has a ratio of 0.78 g/m, he could have -> 0.78 * 135 = + 105 goals (684 goals in total) when he reaches the same amount of games Ronaldo has right now.

I know it doesn't work like that, just trying to be positive :alveshat:.

It does work like that though. Messi's career ratio is weighed down by his first 150 games or so. It's more likely that Messi will score over 0.8 goals a game in the next 135 games :)
