imagine if he had gone back to the PL instead of Juve/SeriaA.. would of been a nightmare. his deluded United fanboys are bad enough but the entire PL fanboys would be D riding him
He would get exposed very hard there. He was smart enough to go to Juventus.

Yeah Serie A is so crap it is unreal. Atalanta is a good attacking team but horrible at the back. The rest of the teams are just meh, even Inter and Lazio. And this old school Italian defending that everyone talks about is not there anymore, neither tactically or when it comes to individual players. Easiest top 5 league to dominate right now. Cronaldo scored a nice goal yesterday but had 6 games with only penalty goals before that so it's not like he sets the world alight really... But when every single media/paper are paid under the table by Jorge Mendes even the small things get hyped to ridiculous hights. Dybala has been much better this season.

Dybala has been good, but this just isn't true. Ronaldo has 24 goals and 4 assists in 25 Serie A matches this season with an average rating of 7.95. Dybala has 10 goals and 5 assists in 20 matches with a rating of 7.47. Ronaldo has 9 MotM, Dybala has 2. Even if you remove penalties Ronaldo still has more goal contributions.

The Portuguese shaman is peaking just in time for the August CL.

:valverde:

if he wins the CL for Juve it will seriously boost his legacy over Messi by winning the CL with 3 different clubs + international trophy

50 years from now people might actually think that Ronaldo was the GOAT of football

Yep. Leo is easily the more gifted/better footballer but CR7 has a few advantages over him in work ethic and smarts (jumping ship from United to RM to now Juve at the right time). Messi meanwhile is happy with that burger as the main striker.

At the end of the day, there's some luck like CR7's euro trophy but all in all, people write their own legacies with their decisions. Messi's has been questionable in terms of his legacy (if he even cares about that).

if he wins the debate is over, but not for Messi, for everyone else, his legacy would be just too much.

if he wins the CL with 3 different clubs then yeah its hard to argue against him being seen as the GOAT of this gen. thats already something his fanboys use to bash Leo with 'stayed in his comfort zone/teams built around him'

sadly I can see Juve somehow fluking a CL win. with the pandemic alot of players have lost their form and Ronaldo loves to peak around the latter CL phases

at one point in time, Messi had this guy on the ropes. seems as if Messi's legacy in terms of career atleast is fading in recent years
