You're welcome
You take away from Ronaldo all the time though with your comments. Over the past few years, Ronaldo has scored against all kinds of defences consistently, regardless of whether Madrid is dominating the game or camped in their own half playing on the counter. The diminishing of his goal tally week-in week-out and every season is meaningless now. A few years ago it was about how he was a big game choker which was thoroughly dismantled. On top of that, he has to carry pretty much the entire goalscoring burden of RM.

As of now for RM, he has 307 Liga goals in 288 games (1.31 goals per game) and 102 CL goals in 96 games (1.06 goals per game). More than a goal per game in the two biggest competitions in Europe over a period of 9 years. Unbelievable.

Not taking anything away from him. Real plays with an intensity and precision that I'd like to see Barca perform from time to time.

True. He doesn't just put away clear chances. He's the ultimate shooter. Has mastered the art of attacking the ball and putting it where he wants. Especially in the bigger games.

Its actually funny how happy he is after scoring 4 past Girona while being 15pts down and pretty much out of La Liga. Played for half a season like absolute shit, then RM atarts playing well and he starts putting 3-4 against bottom feeders.

La Liga is practise for CL now, which we are still in, if we werent, i doubt he would be as happy.

He has about 20 shots a game and chances put on a plate every week. If he was the ultimate shooter he'd have 1000 goals.

He's a phenomenal goalscorer, as he's shown over the seasons. The problem lies in people comparing him to Messi. Incredible that Ronaldo has won 4 out of the 5 last Ballon d'Ors as an overall weaker player (dribbling, speed etc) than he was earlier in his career. CL is valued too highly too. Real Madrid rarely win the league with the CL, as proven by the fact that they only won the league and CL last year, and not in the 2 other recent wins. Barca won the league every time they won the CL, in comparison.

Leo should stat pad against some minnows some time around just to mess with his head

Not a team player, just an individualist which is why they can rarely keep up a title challenge for an entire season.

Not like they had much success in UCL with him prior to 2014 anyway.

Lol why is he not a team player ? Because he starts scoring ? Without his goals Real would be 6th place in the table, we could be happy as he wasnt in form in the beginning of the season.

Really amazing how he get this form, he plays like in 2014 with scoring in every match. This is his best form since 4-5 years.

No he doesn't. Games where he forces shots come out of desperation during poor form. When he's not trying to create chances for himself by himself, he bangs them in for fun from great late runs and/or headers while assisting the others.

Plus by your definition and statement he IS the ultimate shooter. Efficiency throughout the season is another thing. He is 33 though. To put up these numbers at this age is nothing short of spectacular.

I really don't understand how someone who is a phenomenal goalscorer only from close range can be considered that great. Sure he is an amazing finisher and all but as a football player I would look at 10 other important things apart from finishing and he sucks ass in that. He can't dribble, pass or create an amazing chance to save his life. And here he is getting compared to the greatest ever to grace the game.

None of messi, pele, zidane, cryuff, maradonna and the greatest evers were this one dimensional as him. If this was another player doing exactly what cr7 is doing right now no one would have dared compared him to messi. He would just have been considered a good goalscorer.

The only thing he can't do well right now is dribble. Passes and chance creation is still top-notch for him when he wants to. Nowhere near a priority for a team he is expected to provide goals for the entire team. .

Because they were never goalscorers? Messi's goals these days are a complete by-product.

Cristiano and Messi have been ridiculously consistent at scoring shiteloads of goals for nearly 10 years, hence the comparison between them.

It's also why people don't mention Mo Salah in the same breath, despite having a phenomenal goalscoring season at Liverpool.

He can't pass and create either. The excuse that he doesn't do that because he in a team that does it for him is just a convenient excuse. He doesn't even try to do all that in portugal where he is needed to. Just sticks to the scoring position all the game and when he does try to pass and create he looks extremery ordinary.

They definitely knew how to finish and scored many goals. What are you on about? Messi's goals are byproducts?? What?
