Majority of his 9 CL-goals from this season are just stat-padding.
- Scored 2-0 from penalty spot vs. APOEL.
- Scored 2-0 and 3-1 vs. BVB when Madrid already had a lead in both occasions.
- Scored 1-3 vs. Spurs.
- Scored 5-0 & 6-0 vs. APOEL
- Scored 2-0 vs. BVB in a dead rubber.

Half of those goals came against APOEL.
But we will see. So far Ronaldo has been terrible this season. I don't believe the narrative that he's not scoring in La Liga because he doesn't feel like trying anymore.

Well to be fair, Ronaldo was really bad first half of last season as well. Think he had something like 10 goals in La Liga in last autumn, but he said himself, he was shaping up for when it mattered, I guess same is happening again, just that his squad has not been able to carry the load this season. Benzema has like 2 goals this season, Bale has 4, he doubled his goal-tally this season today lol.
Then again, trend is very clear, he peaked in 14/15, which makes sense, that age is usually the peak for most of footballers, then it is very visible downwards spiral:
14/15- 61 goals
15/16- 51
16/17 - 42
17/18 - 16 (so far and we are more or less in middle of season, so i expect him to turn it up a bit and end up with like 35 or so at the end of season. Scoring that much is still great for 33 year old striker, but I have a feeling on this level, this is his last season as top striker.

No Ronaldo was in terrific form at the end of the last season which proves Cl and also La liga. He scored in the last games a brace against sevilla, a brace against Celta Vigo a goal against Malaga etc..

This just shows how much he depends on the team nowadays. He speerpoints the attacks and without everything being pt on a silver platter he is useless. Hence roided Inzaghi nowadays. In cl, they are a different (morivated) team so he does much better there.
After psg trashes them, which might happen or they will choke again. Real will be forced to decide if they continue with this clown next season. Ronaldo wont leave, he cant win ballon d’or anywhere else. Psg dont need him, United doesnt get him the needed cl glory. He can only hope to stay at Real and they click again.

He plays in the CL like he plays in la liga, always camping in the penalty area waiting for service. The difference is that real as a whole team is much better in the CL than in the league.

Which iswby he deserves as littld criticism as he deserves credit gollowing the same logic. The guy is a great goalscorer but totally dependent on his team. He cant hold a candle to messi’s greatness. Umless Real want to continue down this road of serving him he is basically done bar a fluke cl win.
