No doubt that with the current Suarez anyone would improve our attack.

Point is we look more compact and solid defensively. In pole position on both fronts and haven't even launched our secret weapon.

Totally agree look better defensively due to way Valverde is setting up not because lost Neymar though and would guess if Valverde could choose any player in world to insert in their it would be Neymar for all he brings.

Anyway not pining after him and if Valverde can make the team better defensively and introduce Dembele it will be exciting to see what he can do.

Thats not how it works. Spending doesn't guarantee anything.

Cl has too many top teams for any one team to be called a faliure for not winning it.

Yeah he might have a 1-3 year window where he's the best player in the world as Messi and Ronaldo go further into their 30s, but he'll decline as he approaches 30.

There's also the potential for Mbappe to upstage him.

I think this World Cup is his chance to do what Ronaldo and Messi haven't done and make a World Cup their own which would also win him the Ballon D'or next year. That 26-28 year old period will be his peak but he's wasting it in France. It leaves him needing to do amazing things at a World Cup/CL.

While he may be wasting his peak in France, he felt he was wasting it in Messi's shadow at Barca. I think he'd relish going to Real to replace Penaldo.
