The issue is that Iniesta isn't versatile enough to play as a LW.

Next year we will see Coutinho Suarez Messi and Dembele all playing at the same time. Countinho interchanging between LCM and LW; Suarez between LW and ST; Messi between ST and CAM; and Dembele between RW and RM
So you want us to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 hybrid.

More of 433 with Suarez as a LW / 4213 (two CDM + one CAM) with Messi as CAM and Coutinho as a LW / 442 with Dembele and Coutinho as RM and LM ... And also the 4231 you mentioned... So many options

A bit unfair, because I think Ronaldo's stats are very good since his 32 year, no? He has scored so many goals lately..

He was way behind Messi in CL goals scored and CL titles before 2014, before Modric came. Soon after he arrived Ronaldo embraced his role as full time penalty box poacher and started getting way more service right in front of the goal. Modric was the rightful MOTM in the last 2 CL finals they won and delivered the game tying corner for the Decima too. He and Marcelo were also better vs PSG recently and Bayern last year, while Ramos did a lot of the heavy lifting on crucial goals 2016 and prior. Eder delivered him a Euro title as well.

One has to wonder where Ronaldo's career would be without other guys doing a lot of heavy lifting for him

Two ridiculousl things about Messi:

1. At a young age he possessed skills (and not potentials) that made him easily one of the world's top 3 players... I'm talking about a guy who scored a hattrick against Madrid when he was 20 or something

2. Year after year he keeps proving that the cieling of his potential has not been reached .. cannot remember seeing a player progressing his game year after year. Maybe he staginated at 28-29 but God knows he might transform into a CM at 33

Messi had played with much better players than Ronaldo prior to 2014 also and won more with likes of Xavi.

Ronaldo was man of the match in last years CL final not Modric.

Messi is better but Ronaldo is by far Reals best and most important player and he isnt a 'penalty box poacher' either.

I love Messi like God, but it's not like he had terrible players to play with, Xavi/Iniesta. Messi has had wonderful players playing with him as well, just like Ronaldo.
