He wouldn't score today if it wasn't for that shambolic GK mistake. Still almost missed it.

He was in a great form in the first Clasico-end of February period. That's where most of his goals came from.
Needless to say that playing with Messi would benefit any striker greatly.
Everybody is forgetting the October-mid December period which was incredibly shambolic.

The likes of Villa, Pedro, Henry, Eto'o, Alexis, Neymar (except 14/15) etc. all played with Messi as a starter and none of them came to close to the stats of a "washed up" Suarez.

Suarez plays CF and they all played wide bar Etoo who did at times.
It matters when a player scores and what they do outwith those stats.
Suarez is not as bad as is made out sometimes but he lacks a lot of reliability on the basics now more than ever and doesnt press as in past.
In a team with Messi that is too much to carry and Barca need more players to compliment Messi than Suarez offered last season for large spells.
In a team built on him and to cover his deficincies would probably still be a top player.

Huge suarez critic here but our CL failiures can hardly be attributed to suarez for the most part. I mean yes he has been bad in CL but you could put a good striker in CL for those matches and I don't think the result would have changed much. The roma match for example, Suarez was shit but really he wasn't the reason we lost. Our team lacks structure and good tactics in CL and that is why we dissapoint there.

I don't get how people can still say this, considering it isn't that he isn't getting enough chances. His finishing is generally rubbish, he cannot control a ball to save his life, he has no pace, he cannot press like he used to, he cannot make a pass to save his life and he is horrendous at playing with back to goal, giving away the ball almost every single time.
What does he still possess that would make him a "top" player with a team built around him, that wouldn't make ANY other decent striker the same?
It's simple. He's finished.
