I actually would rather players truly take their holidays off to rest. Forget football, gym work and what have you. Maybe do something one week prior to returning to pre-season and don't eat too much crap.

Imo he is the biggest problem:
1a) valverde is too scared to bench him
1b) He is really slow and somehow is technical abilities disappeared completely
1c) With him a 4-3-3 is almost impossible (Messi RW is Fifa 2009)
1d) he works in a 442 but that means that either dembele/malcolm must play RM and defending is not their main asset
1e) he screams at younger players if they mistake and they lose confidence

Yes, but he's also our main scorer other than Messi and will score 30 or more. Noone else can guarantee that.
Proper rotation and rest should do him well. He has to play unless we buy another striker.

If he cannot buy a goal in the CL again this season then Valverde got to bench him in that competition.
4 goals in his last 20 games is not acceptable. People make fun of Benzema because of his La Liga Stats, but ignore Suarez' Benzema-esque CL stats the last 2-3 seasons.

Handsome young chap like him and a football star you think he'd be changing them like clothes.
By the way, Immobile finished as the top scorer in Serie A last season. Not sure about his contract situation though.
Immobile or maybe Maxi Gomez, big strong and just 21. Would give us something different. Scored 17 goals in La liga last season.

Have you been up north mate? Even if you keep it in the latin area, i'd say the spanish girls are better looking and sweeter. They could stand to lose a few pounds though.
