FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi suffered an injury in the second half of Wednesday's league clash with Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.

Messi may have suffered a recurrence of the groin injury he picked up while on international duty with Argentina, though it was unclear whether he may also have taken a knock to the back of his leg when attempting to sprint.

First prognosis is he will be out for 3 weeks.

Really hope he doesn't travel again against medical orders. Playing for argentina vs uruguay helped to cause this.

With the squad we have we woouldn't have to worry but even a slight difference to our starting 11 and we suck. Gonna be a headache rooting for paco/arda etc to do good.

3 games (+ NT) missing but 3 weeks of rest. It's not that bad really. Sad he had to get the injury at the worst time in terms of the Atleti game, but in other ways, it's the perfect time.

I would not associate the word "blessing" with any of our player getting injured, especially Messi under any circumstances. Until Messi's game is drastically declining, I'd take Messi not getting injured at the expense of Neymar's further development any time.
