If he becomes a success, he'll earn them unbelievable amounts of money though. That price isnt based on talent alone.

Dortmund is just making bank off their players. I think they're solely responsible for inflating the market for youth talents

Dortmund did fleece, but Chelsea know what they're getting into.

First, they need a Hazard replacement in case he leaves, or some top quality player to make Hazard stay.
Second, it is a show of intent of being a top club, although not the very best example.
Third, they need some young blood in their ageing front line.

But the most important being getting into American market & there's no better player (other than Messi, Ronaldo & Neymar) for that.

I just checked out r/Chelsea to see fans reaction & many of them weren't pleased either, but there were many American people who were now more interested in Chelsea than before, many of them even willing to buy Pulisic's shirt. And, that will also help them getting a better shirt sponsorship deal, which will somehow balance the money they overspent on him.

Sportingly, he isn't that bad that he is made of, one of the reason of him not featuring much this season, is because of him wanting to leave. He is just 20 & has a lot of room to grow.

All in all, if he succeeds, its money well spent.

The thing that's bad is the situation of their most promising youngster, Callum Hudson Odoi, who's apparently being earmarked by Bayern, he is extremely talented, arguably better than Pulisic potential-wise, but they now risk losing him because of lack of game time.

The thing about him though is that even though it is questionable whether he is talented enough to make it as a starter at a top level club, he's definitely talented enough to be the face of USMNT for the next 10+ years.

The kid is basically a walking marketing powerhouse.

For that fee, it's questionable on a sporting perspective, but very smart on a business perspective.

Yeah, Sky are reporting today that Bayern have upped their bid to something just over £30m. Their last bid Chelsea rejected immediately, but it's all gone quite with this one. Personally I just want him to get regular game time at a good level somewhere.

Would have been a hattrick except another player took the penalty he earned.

Possibly better than Dembele already, we should have signed him. He could be the American Messi or even the next Rapinoe

he had spent the rest of his life on the bench because of Dembele.
Sancho also put him on the bench after Dem's departure.

He played with Dembele 2-3 years ago and being benched for Sancho is better than being benched for right winger Roberto or this season's Coutinho

Hard to imagine he's still just 20.

Still younger than Dembele, & many people have already written him off.
