...Suarez is making a strong case for Greatest Striker in Football History. Even el Fenomeno Ronaldo didn't come close to matching these absolutely insane stats so consistently year after year at the highest level.

For me, he is not close to the peak of Ronaldo (R9). But he can perhaps match his greatness by longetivity. Let's see in 3-4 years. But in terms of who was the best it will always be Ronaldo.

Luis Suárez or Ronaldo (Il Fenomeno)

There's no question that both of them are great players, but I'm curious to ask which one you prefer between them.

Who's the better player do you think?

Suarez is great, but R9 was almost on par with Messi. Without those injuries he would've been better too.

Nah. I was lucky to watch Ronaldo's entire career, and Suarez has without question surpassed him. 1st with Barcelona (and it's not even close) and internationally too. What Suarez does with Uruguay is infinitely more impressive than what Ronaldo did with that (beyond) stacked Brazilian side. Other than Messi, Suarez is the closest thing to Maradona I've ever seen.

Ronaldo, but imo the difference is not that big. Messi is at least a level above both.

R9 offensively and technically superior. I haven't really seen full games from R9 though, so I'm wondering how much he contributes defensively.

Luis presses like a madman and offers insane pressure for almost the entirety of every match. In conjunction with Messi, Luis is probably better.

Suarez is one of my favourite players. But R9 was on another level.

Ronaldo (in his only season for Barca in particular) was best I've ever seen in a #9.

He could take a ball and just dribble and dash towards the goal all by himself. No tactics, no help from anybody.

And we are talking about times top goalscorers in Primera usually scored 20 goals as Pichichis.

Sorry, I thought the options were between Suarez and Cristiano. I'm with Ronaldo here, too

Ronaldo kills Suarez on talent, but his injury proneness brings him down.

No way Suarez could beat Ronaldo, In any aspect you would think so.

    Wow!

Suarez is an amazing player, but come on. Ronaldo is among the greatest of all time, EVEN with all of his injuries and time off the pitch.

You remember the misses Suarez did against Bilbao in the last La Liga round? Now imagine Ronaldo having these chances. This answers your question as well. He was an absolutely profilic striker, who also had the technique and the dribble of a #10. It was a phenomenal combo.

I'm a firm believer that Sergi Roberto is the best player in the world.
