According to the press in UK Barcelona are one of number of clubs scouting 'the new Bale', Oliver Burke at Nottingham Forrest.

Scottish winger supposedly being scouted by Man Utd, Arsenal, Bayern etc and bids expected for him.

Is he good or is he being hyped? Have you seen him?
Just curious because you're from Scotland as well and maybe have heard smth.

Not seen all that much of him other than a few bits and pieces shown on tv from him at Nottingham Forrest.

Similar height and build to Bale and unbelievable pace/power will be where the comparisons are coming from.

Scored again yesterday so 4 goals in 7 games to open season. Seems likely that he will move by end of week.

Just turned 19 in April.

Today will be a great litmus test for how much we miss Alves. RB will be targeted both in terms of our ability to handle the high & intense pressing, along with nullifying the attacks we typically generate with Messi

We handle this, we shouldn't have many problems. If we can't, Robert & the scouting team need to identify the RB they need and make it happen in the soonest transfer window

So they had 3 mounths and decided not to buy.. and all of a sudden you want them to make a verdict out of one game with 48 hours to go.. lol.. we are not buying a rb

We didn't buy RB this year and I'm pretty sure we'll regret it. Besides that Bartomeu and Robert will go for Bellerin next year for about €40M.

Roberto already played against them as RB last season at their stadium when Alves went of injured and looked great.
But of course we don´t know if he will even start.

Roberto was fucking class at RB last week and many occassions last season.

They are giving him the chance to nail it down. There are no guarantees he will make a success of it just as there are no guarantees from any RB who would be brought in.

I have full faith in Roberto, but it will be a complete disaster if he gets injured.

I think a worthwhile experiment would be to give Digne a go at RB and see how he does there.

Amazing how great and consistent Roberto has become on RB and he's putting one great performance after another, and yet still there are people who won't shut up week in week out how we desperately need a new RB.

Iniesta and Busquets must've adapted their playing style after Xavi left, cause Rakitič (and Lucho's) style of playing is different, a more direct approach...just don't know what makes anyone of you critics think, that we'll magically find an exact copy of Alves immediately and never change the way of playing on that position too. And please don't pull out 'the Bellerin' hat right now, because (right now) he's still not half the player Alves was. He's more like a worse copy of Alba. While like it or not, Roberto fits into our current system right now, we have such quality in attack with MSN now, that we simply don't need the full backs pressing on all the time, while on the other hand we get an even bigger control of midfield with an extra midfielder in the lineup. He just needs to work on his defending a little bit, and he'll be class! Like Lucho said, he has all the attributes to become one of the best full backs out there. But for that he needs to be trusted and played regularly. As for the worries for his defense against the best wingers out there, well how about first let him at least play a few of those big games and then judge if he is or isn't good enough. For all we know he could leave Cristiano or Griezmann in his pocket too. And to top it off, we finally have a home-grown player on his way on becoming a member of our lineup again for the first time after almost a decade, when Busquets and Pedro broke through. What more could you ask for?

They've had years, not 3 months, and decided not to buy on top of making an election ploy buy last year in Vidal

One match, in Bilbao, against a Valverde pressing side that will look to exploit any advantage will surely target that right side of Barcelona. So, yes, litmus test

Great job by management this transfer window. For additions, Umtiti is starter quality, big move up from all the other CBs brought in in recent years. D. Suarez fits right in. Digne has great talent, at least on offense. Found a way to have S. Roberto on the field more, we'll have to keep in mind all the good things he does when he occasionally looks like someone just learning to be a RB. It looks like the team has a new Arda this season, he is looking like someone who will play a lot. Much more quality depth this year.

Just as important have been the departures. Alves finally made good on his threats to leave, but surely his best years are behind him. The bench players that Lucho did not like to play last year are all gone, if Munir leaves. The one bad change in the bench is that S. Roberto is no longer available to be excellent backup at 5 positions.

I read he'd signed for Red Bull Leipzig.
