Barca Transfers and Rumors

Seems odd that a team like Barcelona that has always had great midfielders rely so much on MSN for the past 3 seasons instead.

Barcelona should have one objective this summer. Sign 1-2 midfielders.

Keep in mind we have to buy 4+ players this summer to rebuild with limited transfer budget. We cannot afford buying established big names for 80+ million euros. The right and painful thing to do is to go after hot prospects. In the last two seasons the club signed players with backup mentality, being promised things like "it's all you once we get rid of Alves" or "it's all you, Andre Gomes, once Iniesta gets older and leaves for MLS/Qatar at the end of his contract". Not much of a motivation, they knew they were inferior to the established stars of Barcelona. If it's okay to train every day with Messi, good for you, but that won't last forever.

The problem is WC midfielders or potential WC midfielders are very rare on the market. Thiago and Verratti are impossible to get.don't know who'll get.

but who cares? it's time for rebuilding and spending some money.

Probably BS. Alaba is the last thing we need currently. Spending big on him will be obstacle for us to sign RB and creative midfielders of great quality.

RB or creative CM's are we need, maybe a back up CB.

Bayern is not a selling club, sign Kimmich or Thiago if we can. do everyhing, overpay, offer Rakitic, Arda or other useless players. Kimmich will be perfect Xavi replacement for the next 10 years without any problem, don't let him to waste his carreer on RB with Bayern.

The priority is two cm and a right back but if there's any money left then look into the left back situation, Alba has been terrible this season

Going after hot prospects is just what we did last summer. What needs to be done is to buy 2 already estabilished world class midfielders. Luckily we have new sponsorship deals kicking in and if the retarded board of ours manage to sell some of the scrubs, getting 2 midfielders should not be a problem.

No, the club went after players who would make rotation of the squad more effective. They were never considered to be in the starting eleven, forget the next Xavi, Puyol or Suarez. Obviously the rotation thing failed this season - Messi, Suarez and Iniesta are totally exhausted right now, because they had to play in almost every game to cover for Digne, Gomes, Arda, Aleix and Alcacer mistakes.

Hot prospects are now the most expensive players in football. Neymar,Martial,Renato cost ton of money. Young player like Pogba became most expensive.

No. Thats just because starters from rich clubs are not for sale. They are obviously more expensive than "hot prospects" (whatever that is).

More signings like Umtiti. And less "lets chase Verratti and Thiago all summer" while signing Cazorla and other boneheaded ideas.

I wanted us to sign Sidibe, Umtiti, Fabinho and Thomas Lemar last summer. Sidibe went for the same price as Digne. Fabinho and Lemar were available for a very good price I am sure. They are now more expensive but still not impossible to get.

No, actually Khaled is right. Barcelona being one of the big clubs in football, the prices get multiplied by x3 times even x4 times. Example: if we send a scout to, let say, Paraguay and he finds one amazing talent there, what the price would be? For Barca - 10 million. For Shakhtar Donetsk - 2,5 million. That's the way it goes, I'm afraid.
