Lucas Digne

Mathieu was a solid back up for Barca and did his job.

He cost us a lot more on the pitch than the contributions he made.

I'm sure you'll come back with that one direct free-kick he scored and the goal against Madrid. The fact is he was a liability every time he was on the field, yes even at CB.

What a solid backup looks like is Roberto and Masche this season or Pedro in 14/15 squad.

Nobody felt comfortable with Mathieu on the field.

No he didnt. He was a solid back up at CB and produced some big performances and even goals when needed.

Plenty felt comfortable with him on the field as he did his job for most part.

He almost guaranteed we'd drop points when played at LB and whether we want to say he was a LB or not that's clearly a large part of why he was bought in the first place. And even at CB it's not as if he was consistent or reliable. How does a 30+ year old give away a goal because he doesn't know a player can't be offside in his own half?

He had few poor games at left back but cop out for rest of team saying it was inevitable would lose points.

Actually had a few decent games at LB as well but out of nowhere starting him at LB away to Real or left of three away to Juventus was asking for trouble.

Of course he knows the rules about off side.

No defender is 100% reliable at any side but last season he had some good and some bad games.

Haha Happy for the Frenchman. He didn't do much but think he deserved this moment of happiness

More composed in attack than Alba. Don't get why he doesn't start much when on the other side of the field Semedo is being benched every other game

Nice boost in confidence for him this game. This game should show Valverde that he should rest Alba often, but knowing Valverde he won't.

Lmao he is nowhere close Alba, what the fuck is this, he was smashing obvious low crosses into opponnents legs, our most predictable player, I fail to see what he can offer that Alba can't, the goal was good tho, not the first time he scores.

He was better in the final third than Alba has been. Looked more likely to pick someone out.
