FC Barcelona have decided to exercise the buy back clause for the player Denis Suárez, currently at Villarreal CF, which will see the player join the Club for the next four seasons with an option for a fifth depending on the number of appearances in the fourth season.

FC Barcelona have deposited 3,250,000 euros for the right to buy back the player.
The buy out clause for the players has been set at 50 million Euros.
Denis Suárez will undergo a medical on Tuesday and at 2.00pm CET he will be outside the Club offices for a short photo session.

The signing of the contract and the official presentation of the footballer as a new FC Barcelona player is programmed for Wednesday:

  • At 11.00am, signing of the contract in the first tier of the stand at Camp Nou.

  • At 11.30am, presentation in the Ricard Maxenchs press room.

  • At 1.00pm, photo session on the field at Camp Nou. The general public can access the stadium for the photo session between 12.30pm and 1.30pm

His career so far

Denis Suárez will wear the Barça shirt once more, just as he did during the 2013/14 season for Barça B. The 22 year old is a talented midfielder who comes to FC Barcelona to strengthen the squad in the middle of the park and is the first signing of the season 2016/17 for the Club.

Suárez returns after spells at Sevilla and Villarreal. For Barça B he scored 7 goals and recorded 11 assists in his 36 matches. That brought him to the attention of the Andalusians and his spell there allowed the man from Galicia to develop as a player, also adding the Europa League title to his list of honours.

The following season Suárez signed for Villarreal with the Club maintaining the buy out that they have now exercised. At Villarreal he played 48 times, 36 as a starter, scoring five goals and recording 11 assists.

Great :veryhappy:

50 mil. clause is too little these days though

Nah, it's fine really. If he gets so good that other clubs are willing to pay that, then it means he'll be a regular here, meaning he has no incentive to leave. We renew fairly often in order to raise the release clauses anyhow.
