Not sure about Robert, had some really good signings but idk if we can just blame Lucho for the bad signings, we wasted more than 100M on average players in just 2 years and did a really bad job at selling too.

But besides that Segura seems like a complete idiot that shouldn't even have a job here after that embarrassing Dembele/Coutinho bullshit last summer. And if he's really the one pushing for the workhorses he is the last guy we should give any power regarding the squad.

Pep Segura: "It's not that we can't compete with PL clubs financially, maybe we shouldn't even try. It's not what should make us different. Our big differentiating factor is making others understand the value that the Barcelona style has and wanting to enjoy it."

Haters gonna hate, Gracias Pep Thanks you Pep. WE LOVE YOU ;(

We're planning our transfer activity without even informing our sporting director if he'll get a contract offer or will be let go at the end of his contract, which is even more pathetic as we'd need a new sporting director to sit down right now and make all our plans, which btw should have been made a month ago.

*Unless we're giving Pep Segura all the control which is even more scarier.

We can't get another sporting director now, it has to be Segura's summmer, doesn't it?

He was sent to Brazil, usually Robert's buisness.

Problem with Robert's position is it lost a lot of power and it was given to Segura.

These guys who turned us down probably don't either want to serve under Segura and they want more power than the current system offers with Segura holding all the keys. This all comes down to Segura and as long as this guy has as much power as he does there's no reason for any good sporting director to come here.

When will these guys wake up and realize Segura isn't as good as they think he is? I think the biggest problem is Segura and someone like Robert's views on how we should reinforce the squad with certain types of players and how they are different.

Lets say someone like Cruyff prefers emphasis on technical ability over more than lets say Physicality and Segura prefers physical style players over technicality. again what's the point of someone being like Cruyff and Robert being there when Segura has more power than they do.

True. Sporting directors like Monchi want freedom, and they deserve it. Nobody wants to work under some Segura who still hasn't done anything memorable in his career.

It's not very clear to me, what's Segura's real role? He's in charge of what? If Segura is to manage transfers, why do we need a sporting director?

Anyways, it's probably too late to hire someone who's ready to act this summer and knows the market and the team well enough. It's Segura's time to prove himself most likely.

Hire someone now and all he'll do is bring players he knows from his former clubs or his earlier targets we don't necessarily need.

He is the piper at the gates of hell into which he will lure this club.

Another explanation is that he listenes to too much Olivia Newton-John and he mistook her for Johan Cruyff and believes that his main philosophy was to get physical.
