Rate our season - player/coach edition

Now that the season is over, it's time for a review of the squad. Who topped, who flopped and who were just in between?

Try to be as objective a possible and compare the players to a global standard and not to past versions of said player.

Rate from 1 to 10, where 1 is absolute dogshit (Douglas style) and 10 is the pinnacle of the beautiful game.

You guys giving Douglas 1s make me sick inside......talk about disrespecting our mascot.......

Over the last third of the season, the only outfield players who got meaningful minutes outside the first 11 were Sergi Roberto, Mathieu and Rafinha. Roberto looked good enough at so many positions that that it was almost impossible to keep him off the field for all of any game. As a sub or rotation alternative, I'd give him a 10. Mathieu was a very fine alternative at CB, credit to him. Rafinha played less, but looked good enough. Ter Stegen was an excellent alternative in goal, big improvement from the beginning of the season.

Every single player who was in the mix towards the end of the year ranged from very, very good to best in the world at that position. Of these, the team only needs to replace any who might leave.

For the rest of the bench, Lucho did not trust them, which left him with a bare minimum of players he wanted to play. The team should look to replace as many as possible, hoping that a couple could be found to add to the core mix.

Ter Stegen [7] some brain farts at the start of the year,solid performance in the 2nd half.

Dani Alves [8] For RBs all around the world,Alves is still one of the best,specially for a guy who is asked for a lot of attacking duties at his age.In compare to the rest of the team it could have been 6,but on global standards he gets the 8

Aleix Vidal [5] good 14 games or so,but dropping from the 18 man list so many times is worrisome

Mathieu [6] Gr8 back up CB with exception of few games,awful back up LB
Vermaelen [4] no major injuries,still ton of minor injuries.get 4 just to be above Adrino
Bartra [5] Still can't take minutes from the 3 older guys ahead of him,when Vermaelen was healthy he was relegated to 5th CB.still appreciate his presence

Busquets [9] Still the best in our midfield
Sergi Roberto [7] Most Improved Player
Rakitic [8] never stop sacrificing himself with the team,love the effort
Iniesta [7] gr8 1st half in the season then gassed out.just to play his best game last night.
Arda [4] Well,he might deserve a better mark.but the disappointment is real.

Messi [10] Was gonna give him 9,but remembered that in that case there might be no player in the world worth the full mark
Neymar [8] This season was weird,early on you feel he is ready to take over Messi as the team best player,but then other times you feel we should just cash on him when he is still worth it after awful games.
Munir [5] Wasn't able to step up when Messi was injured,redeemed himself later with more productive games.
Sandro [4] kid has regressed and he is just 20.

the biggest disappointment for me personally was Rakitic who is one of my favorite players .. Came here last season and fits in like a glove.. so in his second season i expected him to take it to the next level , but instead , no only he was unable to keep last year's level but he actually went backward . but dont get me wrong , a solid midfielder regardless and coutributed to our double.
