Eric Garcia (loaned to Girona)

Lol what should they have done, not worked?

Anyway Eric Garcia should be smarter than trusting Pep. He'll leave in a year or two and it will never be the same after him. If he returns he might actually be fast tracked as Pique's successor if he does well given he's Catalan, a La Masia product and a captain at almost every youth team level.

It's tongue in cheek. But the City group of Manchester have been quite notorious in shopping around La Masia. Almost as bad as prime Wenger.

Will be interesting to see what Eric Garcia's agents (Puyol) advise having initially pushed the move citing sporting reasons. I'm sure they were rewarded handsomely on the Bernabe and Eric moves.

IMO it comes down to being the 3rd CB at Man City behind Laporte and most likely Koulibaly or 3rd CB(will jump ahead of Araujo purely based on exp at top level) at Barca behind Pique and Lenglet.

Which pair is he most likely to break?

To be fair he is probably more likely to play as 3rd option under Pep at City next year than 3rd option at Barcelona. We don't really rotate our CBs and both Lenglet and Pique are reliable injury wise.

But long term he may have more opportunities to be groomed towards a Barcelona starter as Pique replacement-if he has the required level. Especially as a Catalan.

City are about to get their CL ban overturned and he will stay.

I'm not saying it cannot happen, but when have you heard about a court ruling being leaked? Especially a CAS ruling?

Just because a lad with 50k followers on Twitter says so doesn't mean it's true. There is no way anyone knows what their ruling will be. Not even UEFA or Man City's attorneys.

Never mind that if overturn the decision then it can play in our favors, this mean Koulibaly to City go through and we will have a better route to starting line up for him.
