All players that looked very underwhelming with Chelsea because even when they played, they never were in a position to truly perform and showcase what they were signed for, their attacking value.

It's the same with Dembele right now who has a lot to improve, but seem very hesitant and confused on what to do, attack or defend in that RM position.

Mourinho, like Valverde, prefers to work with older players who are more tactically disciplined due to their experience, showing poor mentoring skills when in charge of raw talents.

There is no real progress from any young player in our team after almost a season with Valverde.

Well he's 20 years old and spent the entire first half of the season injured of course he's not going to be a finished product.

Not like Valverde has done a good job at integrating the younger players in the squad. He's either to busy having a wank on how we can build the system around an Aging Suarez and Rakitic than integrating younger players that weren't here before he came here.

Lucho for all his flaws would have probably done a much better job in teaching and integrating Dembele than Valverde will at this point.

This!!!

The manager has to take alot of blame for this. Even Semedo has the same problems. He's hesitant to attack and he seems caught in two minds. That's why guys like Pep, Klopp are great managers. They give clear instructions to the player and what they want. That dick head VALVERDE however probably keeps harping on about tracking back.

Dembele is a talent and if we don't develop him some other club will. If he was under Tuchel for another season people would have been raving about him.

We didn't hire Mourinho as a manager but we took in his imitation.

Spot on and it’s super embarrassing! Wouldn’t blame Dembele if he starts sneakin out the house in the trunk of someone’s car just to get some privacy like another talented french youngster did before him

This is the last game he is on the bench. Hopefully, he starts every La Liga game from now on. But knowing Valverde, he might even get dropped.

tbh he is benched for Iniesta/Coutinho. The later is clearly better player, with Iniesta it is debatable but it is his last final in Barca jersey so this count for something. Might argue he is better than Suarez but Suarez can at least score in comparison.
This is different than playing Paulinho/Roberto over him.
