Our relationship with Dortmund is very good though. Could be useful in future negotiations.

I am not sure though. Dspite the $$$ we left in their bank account, the way we came in all of sudden (Neymar's and PSG's fault though) wanting to get Demebele, which saw him going on strike and forcing BVB to sell one of their best players without having a lot of time to replace him (Yarmolenko? mixed bag I think) probably left a bitter taste in their month.

Watzke literally said he believes that Barca contacted Dembélé without Dortmunds permission and even instigated the strike. Relation with Dortmund isn't entirely broken yet, mainly because Watzke can never be angry for more than 2 weeks, but it's certainly not a club you'd think would make Barca a good price. Also another problem for Barca is that Perez is another splendid businessman with relations to everyone in football, and even politics and of course uses them to make life even harder for Barca.

It was sarcasm...

:VdB:

True, we truly lack that business acumen and sensitivity to put the personal and softer touch on relationships that matter a lot in the business world.

It certainly feels like it, doesn't it? PSG, Nice, Liverpool, Santos, Gremio, Atletico, we seemed to have pissed off so many clubs, hahaha

Dont worry, we have great relationship with Valencia, Gomes, Mathieu.. No worry in the world when we can bump Valencia empty from their talent. 😶😶😅

Liverpool so lucky to have him, guy is literally a perfect CB, easily best in EPL, turned a joke of the defence into probably the best in the league. Also seems to have a captain mentality, always instructing his defence, very outspoken.

There was a stat that showed that, since Van Dijk's debut for Liverpool in January 2018, they have conceded the least number of PL goals so far to date. Not only that, but Robertson's sudden upturn in form came around the time VVD started playing at the back(Left CB) next to him.
