I mean if Kante can't do well in Sarri's system then how would he do any better here?
Valverde's system may be a shit sandwich but we still use the possession style system. He would fare badly here in a 4-3-3 and he's a lot worse than Rakitic and Vidal are on the ball. Even just sticking him as a pivot here in Busi's spot he would get exposed even more.

If he works on his touch under Sarri and stops losing the ball like a twat in terrible positions (nearly gave an easy counter away but City player messed it up) he will be a franchise player for the next 5 years. He's already twice the DM Essien was, but needs to add this random pop-up in the opposing box to be as useful for their offense as Essien was back in the day. Pretty sure his running is some of the most meaningful running done by any player in any league. Messi & Cristiano level awareness of where he needs to be in his position.

We should go in for Kante now .. he’s been benched by Lampard who’s gone with Jorginho again .
Playing as the holding midfielder Kante is prob the best in the world...they used to joke that it seemed like there were twice Kantes on the pitch he was so effective.
Are Chelsea able to take LOAN players with the ban ??

Contracts are irrelevant .. one guy signed for a team in the transfer window then moved another team a couple of weeks later without kicking a ball for the first one ..
