Whatever he lacks in muscle, he makes up with the rest. Btw, muscle will come if you let nature do its thing (and some training of course).

These skills can only take a player far enough but if Puig has any chance to become elite soon, he should improve his physique if he doesn't want to get bullied off the ball everytime he take a touch.

Messi was literally a dwarf when he debuted and nobody was even able to touch him and Neymar was toothpick thin when he came and still managed to be an undisputed starter but keep going on about your damn muscles as if that's some sort of deal breaker.

True. Same with Iniesta. He was never big.

He's not ready. Imagine we showed with skilfull, small players at Anfield. We would have embarrassed ourselves 4-0 or something.

The thing is Riqui's technical level or his footbaling intelligence is far, far from Messi or Iniesta at the same age (Do not forget that he is already turning 20 this year).
That's not an ideal comparison but I do believe that it is time for him to get minutes in the first team.
He is no longer 17 or 18 and there is no time to waste with the B team.
He should be given an opportunity to prove if he can survive in the real world.

Most popular line for all our youngsters, he's not ready. EV is it you? Whit that mindset Messi never reached the first team, I know Messi was a whole other beast but there is some truth in it. If he's not ready then make him ready. He's one of the brightest midfield talents that we have in the club and wil turn 20 in the summer. 20! It almost sounds like we're talking about a kid of 16yr old. Like someone else already mentioned in this thread, when he played for our A team he always performed and that in a team without our 'best' players. For sure we don't need to play him in a semi cl final but like EV only in meaningless games when the competition is sealed is plain stupid, especially when the team is full with substitute players and other youngsters. I would promote him next season and give him some minutes here and there, it won't hurt us when you give him a shot against easier opponents with midfield of our starters mixed with Puig. He will run his ass off for sure, something this team lacks hard. I'm also not saying that we need to do this approach with every b player but a bright talent like Puig, oh yeah!

He's not quite ready yet but he should definitely be a starter against all the weaker La Liga teams to train him up. Also he needs to bulk but nobody is naturally that skinny so shouldn't be hard with the right effort.

Can't understand playing Rakitic, Busi and Vidal against fucking Eibar in the game no one cares about! He should have started today! Fucking Valverde...
