I noticed in the Espanyol game and in general recently, Messi has been occupying more central areas in a creative role. He's look dangerous but whenever he did, it left a 1 on 2 on the right with Alves isolated. So with Arda now, a double pivot would be extremely deadly on the counter and hard to break down defensively. Lucho tried this before Messi got injured with Messi as a CAM with a double pivot (4-2-3-1) and he had a field day. Arda brings so many things to this team but his ability to track back and put a shift in while being able to create and be nearly impossible to dispossess to ball off of eases the creative pressure on Messi and the defensive pressure on Rakitic.

I'm sure we will smash them though. I'm sure we are pissed they lost the lead over Atleti at the hands of these assholes, particularly since we hit the post twice. Lucky bastards...

Don't like Messi as CAM. He's at his best in the right wing, that's where he played amazing football last season.

Would love nothing more than for us to go full goat mode on them and cut them into pieces time after time after time with no mercy.

Can imagine a 1-0 win though

Two goals? We should score at least 5 and then rest main players in the second leg. Oh I can wait to destroy them.

    65 >Iniesta/Turan<

    75>Mascherano/BUsquets<

Finally some fresh air in the squad !
In my humble opinion, Alves and Mascherano were extremely average last saturday.
