:confused01: He's Chelsea and England Captain because he is quality.

A good leader on and off the pitch, he puts his body on the line to block shots and crosses. He is a great header at set peices and is an all round good defender.

There are not many better at defending than John Terry imo

This could work. But still there are lots of options. Vidic and Pique as CB-s(ok I am too a bit biased now with Pique option..:))
Maicon as RB, Cole as LB.

Rooney, Messi and Torres looks amazing.
But there are just to many options for midfield. (Xavi, Lampard, Fabregas, Anderson....)

Who ever said John Terry isn't even Chelsea's best defender knows his football. How people can put him into their World XI beats me. He ain't that good.

WTF.... I was gonna use that exact team bar one.
I'd put Maicon in at RB instead of Lahm and the rest is perfect. That would be some team.

Why do some people rate Lahm better than Alves?

Alves is far far far better going forward and about the same defence wise.

Alves gets cought out of position alot, he also fouls too much. Maicon is much better and even keeps Alves out of the Brasil XI.

Yeah I only watch Barca though because I love their football but You have to admit Alves is a poor defender. Too rash and he can't slow his game down. He does everything at 100 km/hr and that bings him silly yellow cards because of rash challenges. He is also a massive diver
