"Possible line-up (vs Leverkusen): Ter Stegen - Adriano Bartra Vermaelen Alba - Mascherano Busquets Rakitic - Messi Sandro Munir [rac1]"

For 3/4 of the last encounter the Germans outplayed us....Kampl & Bellarabi the most problematic although Tal & Papadopolous equally effective on defense..like to see a spirited performance from Barcelona

There will definitely be some space for our forwards to exploit tonight as it looks like Leverkusen will go all out attack to win and proceed. Thing is, Lucho doesn't care about these games and will probably field Munir and Sandro which won't be of much help at all for a Messi trying to find his scoring boots. This could be a classic Tata game. Shutting down Messi means shutting down the whole team.

Like Valencia did in the second half :mou:

No injuries please and a good test for MATS, he should perform well in Germany.

Wont be able to see the game live, hope them boys stay healtyh

Yet to see a pragmatic approach from Lucho but this has all the ingredients for a sparring encounter rather than matching the frenetic energy of matches last night

a loss is definitely realistic. Bayer is playing at home, they need a win to go through to the next round, and we will probably play a lot of benchwarmers. I'd rather Leo sit out this game. I imagine he'll get the bulk of the criticism if we don't win.

Midfield will be really interesting to watch.

See how Raki gets on at DM assuming he plays there. Think how long a future he has at Barca will depend on him being able to deputise for Busi there.

lol that lineup has shades of that horrific 12-13 season when messi was in fact 50% (or more) of the team.
