Recovery session to prepare for Copa del Rey

After beating Eibar on Sunday, attention now turns to Wednesday's cup match away to Villanovense

The Barça first team got straight back to work on Monday morning after winning a tricky game with Eibar 3-1 on Sunday night. Next up is the first Copa del Rey match of the season away to Villanovense of Division 2B on Wednesday night at 8.30pm CET. Luis Enrique started the week with a training session in which the focus was on recovering from the previous day’s excursions.
The session on the Tito Vilanova Field began with a hearty welcome for Adriano, who is 31 today. The available first team players were joined for today’s workout by four members of the reserve team, Gerard Gumbau, Sergi Samper, Wilfrid Kaptoum and Aitor Cantalapiedra.
Barça will train at the same time on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday morning before heading for Villanueva de la Serena in western Spain for the round of 32 first leg.

    Pitch in Oct 19th:

I'm not sure it'd be wise to play any starters there, if the pitch is still in such conditions.

Wow! This looks like a moroccan field..

From last CWC in Rabat - Morocco
The Internet is full of tribute videos with some version of the title "Messi doesn't dive" a trait rare in a sport where players roll around on the ground like gunshot victims when an opponent so much as breathes on them.

Theories abound about why Messi won't fall, about his character or his respect for the game, but I think it's much simpler. If he dives, he loses the ball.

I want to squezze Vermaelen there but considering the Mascherano ban it would probably be wiser to save him for trip to Getafe.

Iniesta should get some minutes to regain match fitness.

If the pitch is still the potato field from the pics, I wouldn't risk Verm or Iniesta.

Yes, rest all the veterans who normally start. Don't even make them travel all the way across Spain. Maybe Iniesta could play some to help get back in shape, Ter Stegen could play to keep him sharp for CL.
