FC Barcelona Finances

This is based on the presumption that City would've forked the cash to bring him last summer. And you have the massive savings of nearly 100m which is his gross salary if I'm not mistaken.

So, 1 year without Messi, even if City pay only 50m (let's say for the sake of the argument), this is 150m. is it not? About a third of what we have to pay in 2021 in terms of debt (I read it's 400 something million).

But City didn't want to pay anything for him, that's a problem. And IF Messi would leave last year we'd need to pay him 40m loyalty bonus or something like that so we wouldn't really profit that much.

We have to pay him 100M salarie and around 50M loyalty bonus at the end of this season and he goes to ManCity for free
andddddddddddddd Pique, Busquets and Alba also have this loyalty bonus when their contracts ends.

Almost all players have their signing fee payed in stages until end of contract unless they ask for transfer.

None of them will be close to the one due to Messi.

Barcelona are on the verge of total bankruptcy. The club are ?1,173M in debt in total; a sum of ?730M of the debt is owed short term and ?266M is owed to banks by June 30th which must be paid, ?90M of which is owed directly to Goldman Sachs. [el mundo via @footballespana_]

266M owed to banks by the end of this fiscal year.

:wow:

May Allah bless and protect us all.

Loyalty bonus :rofl1: Clubs deserve this shit.

Nice to see these Catalans being so loyal that we have to give them those bonuses.

Exactly, well put. Such nonsense. Not to mention that many times the new contracts these players sign are bigger than previous ones. No wonder we're in the hole.

Disgusting club. Tempted to switch to being a Madridista any time now.

Elections models for football clubs are both good and bad. You can always elect idiots to run the club. At least with privately owned clubs, it's their investment. You don't have a guy coming in, fucking everything, then resigning and leaving disaster behind him. For others to try to clean up.
