This rule is equivalent of stopping a promising student from going to MIT because it will rob local Universities of a promising student.

Fifa are idiots and not fair at some points.
But as Khaled said, we did more wrong than any other club in the world.

FIFA is a garbage institutions. They are playing dirty with these tranfer band, it is completely unfair. I hope that what I red above is real news.

Let's hope justice prevails and they are hung out to dry. It's not just about their involvement and intransigence with us, they are a corrupt organisation and need to be held accountable

Not entirely accurate, the local university would have to be local to the student and MIT across the globe...Of course, that local university can't guarantee either placement, support or development of the student - then it'd be analogous

By FIFA's rules now, Messi couldn't have come to Barcelona in the first place - despite local clubs unwilling to take the risk or invest in his medical costs to develop the player themselves
