Gabriel Jesus

I'm all for buying young talent, but has he only played one full season? (I'm not sure about their season-system)

He is highly rated in Brazil, I'm all for singing a new potential since our La Masia is semi dead. At least he is rated not like Douglas who shocked everyone in and outside of Brazil when we signed him.

He should do a Neymar and wait till he is 21 to move. He won't get a lot of playing time at Barca unless he's going out on loan.

Raül Sanllehí (Barcelona transfer negotiator) at the Allianz Park, watching the Palmeiras-America Mineiro match. he's there to watch Gabriel Jesus.

Okay......So this just got VERY interesting.

Sanllehi aint no scout or there for holidays. Or actually, he might be scouting him.

An overhyped Brazilian, bring him in boys!

How is he overhyped? Just because he is Brazilian or just because he is young doesnt mean he is overhyped. He is rated fairly. A good player, versatile, still raw and inconsistent, but great potential and has arguably been the best player in Brazil in 2016 at 18/19 years old. At 20m euros this is a chance worth taking as it offers good value in this market.

Here's the highlights from the match attended by Raül Sanllehí. You can see him there at 3:45. Gabriel Jesus almost had a hat trick, but that last chance was correctly ruled out for offside.

Anyone know more about his father/entourage situation? I'm affraid we'll get another greedy Neymar Sr. type of people to the club.

I don't think he really has any experience with scouting. Isn't Sanllehi more of a financial guy and negotiator?

Anyway, I believe our scouts and Robert have enough information about this kid if we are serious about buying him. Or maybe he's just a smoke screen and we are looking after another Palmeiras player. Don't know their team good enough but maybe RB Joao Pedro could be interesting to us?

23M for a 19 year old who could be decent, sounds like a plan. He scored his first goal in the Paulista, which is a regional competition if I'm not mistaken ( Flavia ), in February. He hasn't proven anything yet on a profesional level but 23M should be a fair price? Not to me. Maybe in a world where 23M offers come in for our youth team player for scoring in the Copa Catalunya.

Sanllehi is the guy who close the deals.has been that way for a decade or so.He isn't there for scouting.

He also scored 7 goals in 10 games in the Brazilian league along 4 goals in 5 games in Copa Libertadores.
He isn't a kid hyped for his regional competition performance in anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean. I started this thread in September of last year because he'd already started scoring goals for the first team. He got 4 goals in 20 appearances in the 2015 Brasileirão, and so far has 6 goals in 10 apps this season. He also scored 4 goals in the group stage of the 2016 Copa Libertadores.

Everything you are saying here is wrong. He was awarded best newcomer in the league last season, as an 18 year old. This season he has arguably been the best player in Brazil, having just turned 19. And just as important, he can actually play all three positions up front, which is a rare attribute.

At least this time Bayern and Juventus are also interested, so no Keirrison or Douglas at least, I hope
