Marco Asensio

Asensio the most skilled left foot after Messi?
You must be on some really bad meth.

You got a a better left foot in your own squad.

Still, i don't think that James is the second best left foot in the world. That would be Griezmann

His teammate Marcelo is more skilled, that is who I meant. Robben, Griezmann, David Silva, Salah, James and Özil are some who come to mind immediately.
Asensio is a great talent but he will have to improve constantly and massively to reach their level.

Should start instead of Bale from next season on. His ceiling is to be consistent world class (unfortunately).

Nah. Unless we perform as a team and he lets go of his arrogance. He isn't learning anything at the moment, has pretty bad experience gaps and tunnel vision a lot of the time. If anything this season has shown that if you give him the cookie too soon he will only play to his current strengths. Next season we will start over with some new team members (surely, lol), which gives him a fresh opportunity to compete. Season after he should be his starter year. Unless, again, he learns. This season is like Isco's first season where he came in, had a few great games and waned off until he put a lot of effort into defensive training, passing, got rid of ball hogging habits.. Asensio has a very similar development arc right now.

Should just shoot everytime the ball comes to his feet even if he is in his own half.

Literally cannot do anything effective besides that.

Wtf happened to him, he was frightening couple months ago but I haven't heard anything about him since then.

Buckles under pressure. Not sure he deserves this sort of confidence from Zidane, but sometimes these sorts of things are a career-making experience. This was probably his worst showing in Madrid yet. He's done absolutely nothing of note and is clearly pissed at himself like most of these young guys. They got fucked over haaard by Zizou.

Maybe it's time to accept that he isn't as good as you think he is/will be.

He has a nice left foot and he's good at long shots, but his overall play is average

Probably the youngster I like the most, seems down to earth.

Real have done very well with him so far but it's now up to him to fight his spot and overcome the flaws like Isco did.
Don't understand why Zizou doesn't trust him more, why does he never sub him in when the team does well? This season he's treating Marco as an impact sub, which might turn him into a scapegoat.
On the other hand, that's understandable knowing his attacking options, just not the best way to build his confidence and inspire will.

He had 2 great performances in a row, was deciding factor vs psg also vs betis away, great player, without pressure on him he can just become better

Seems that he understood he has the ability to be great without having to go for a screamer. Quality finishing vs Betis and top job against PSG, turned the game around. Back on the right track of improvement hopefully.
