Marco Asensio

Isco, Kovacic, Asensio, that's pretty good caliber to come off the bench

It should be impossible on paper but somehow Madrid are able to pull it off

Meanwhile, we couldn't even keep Pedro on the bench. These players could start for clubs on a similar level (Bayern, Barca) ffs. And they don't even have to shell out insane wages like QSG

well Isco is basically a starter, plays most of the important games( Bale often injured, ronaldo suspended or rotated, benzema same, or he plays in midfield)

asensio is different, he was very young still last season, now we will see after his impressive start of the season how zidane will cope with his playing time!

Kovacevic is a good player, but not somebody who would come from the bench and change a game or give something extra in my opinion.

If he keeps it up, we might already have Ronaldos replacement in the squad, give it a couple of seasons and we will see.

Isco is the only starter caliber at a team such as Madrid, the rest are still young and need to build their way up. The Isco scenario will be like Fabregas' .. unless he plays alot this year, he is going to leave them next summer

Let us be logical and not emotional. For a player to be a starter caliber in a team like Madrid or Barcelona, the player needs couple of years of solid experience on his belt. Asensio, as good as he is, still needs to continue doing what he is doing in order to eventual become one of the starting 11 in both Madrid and Spain squads

He is good on transition game and great shooter. Quality player. yet way overrated by RM press and foreign press.

He even won't be a Bale. let alone Ronaldo.

Ofc he has to keep performing to be a starter, thats a given. Im talking about right now, the rising form he has shown is enough for me to give him a starter spot.
Bale has been quite bad in recent months, and he always get an injury every so often. Bale shouldnt start ahead of Asensio just because he is more experienced(or expensive), as of right now, Asensio should take Bales spot. Age shouldnt be a hindrance, if you are good enough you are old enough.

He is going to be better then Bale. Bale is just a good athlete with decent skills, Ascencio will be better.

I didn`t watch the first 25 minutes, but after that I thought he was quite underwhelming yesterday. It`s hard to say anything against Lopetegui after that result, but it was a weird decision to start Asensio instead of Morata.

But in general yeah, the guy is a massive talent and our board did another mistake not buying him.
