So Busquets is allowed to fleece the club for as much as he can for 5 more years, but we should pretend to be happy about it because he was good for us 5 years ago?
We should be phasing him out of the team soon, not giving him a bumper 5 year extension

Don't blame Busquets to sign the renewal.
Anyone would've done the same if they're in his position.
If anything, you should direct your frustration/anger at our board's decision to give Busuqets the new contract in the first place.

he is lost since pep left, even more since xavi and iniesta left, he isnt typical DM and he thrives in one system that barca cant play anymore, he is gettin overruned in CL like he isnt there.
he got contract because he is barca legend and part of greatest generation, same will be with pique, we can talk about how barca respects their own players and legends, yeah, thats nice, but to me seems like barca is some kind of charity, where everyone gets highest wages and new contracts and finish their careers here when they decided, all that damages barca on the pitch and when it comes to result, but its all about that image.

When a player reaches 30 we should renew only on an annual basis with performance based bonuses a major chunk of their salary.
