well, the lack of any sort of speculation or indications that we are even SEARCHING for a defensive middie is very worrying.
i'll sleep better at night after we have signed some cover for that position. what happened to those links with senna? that would be a good signing in my opinion, someone to provide cover but would also allow busquets to mature.

why do we need a destroyer?
as long as the player can tackle - and by all accounts jona is able to do this (positional awareness for jona is a given considering he is la masia) - they can play DM for us.
why must we employ a defensive specialist? we don't need some hulking thug whose only use is taking the ball off people then crab-passing 5 yards to the nearest midfielder.
think outside the box.

Here here. Thats the UK way of producing a Centre-Half. The Barca way is to have someone who can actually play a bit!

Those of us who have been following the club for many years will remember a certain Andres Iniesta excelling in the DM position during the 05/06 season especially, the only pre-requisite for the DM is that they can get a tackle in when required.
