Watching Argentina last night reminded me of the games vs Atlético under Tata. The attackers seem to dislike passing the ball to anyone, and when they do its a shitty pass either too long or behind the player.

Current Di Maria is the opposite of what Messi needs alongside him to carry Argentina, a cone would be more accurate with the one-two's.

How does Messi at the age of 19 compare with the likes of Gotze/Hazard/Neymar at their age? Amazing how good he was at that age, way beyond his time.

Leo and Neymar were/are prodigies, and have been performing at world class level since they were teenagers.

As good as Gotze, Hazard, Bale etc are, they do not fit in to the category of 'Prodigy' even though they are all exceptional talents.

Hazard was also a prodigy but Messi is something else, already the best player in the world at age 21, the only player who compares in that regard was (the Brazilian) Ronaldo.
