@ those who say Messi should be rested vs Espanyol.

Messi has already played so many tough games on the trot, why rest him on the very last one? The CL game was on Tuesday so we have a few days to recuperate. Have him play against the Pericos, win that game, and we can then do some serious rotating against Getafe/Cordoba/Sociedad.

Because we're in the CL semi's. I want the best player in the world to be fresh and rested for it. With him fully fit and rested we can beat anyone. Besides we should be able to beat Espanyol without Messi..

I understand that, but Busquets should rest, and Masche at CDM isn't the best option.
That back line should be able to handle Espanyol apart from Adriano, maybe.
Messi is in need of rest, maybe let him play for the second half but no more.
Sandro, because Suarez should rest also and there isn't anyone there to take up that role better than Sandro. And as with Messi, Suarez might play the second half.

I believe it's a risk worth taking.
