Barcelona will be particularly wary of Valencia's visit after a more mediocre version of the same side fought back for a 3-2 victory at Camp Nou last season.

That loss on Feb. 1, 2014, marked the beginning of Barcelona's slide and allowed Atletico to take over the league lead.

Valencia has a much better, and deeper, squad this season. Coach Nuno Espirito Santo has the team in fourth place, only one point behind Atletico and three points ahead of Sevilla as they vie for a top-four finish.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is doubtful after he was carried off the field in Paris.

Valencia will likely be missing injured Argentines Enzo Perez and Pablo Piatti, but left back Jose Gaya is fit.

"Barcelona is the clear favorite because it is playing at home," Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves said. "But we will try to play a good game and challenge for the win."

This and the game against Espanyol is absolutely vital.

Hopefully the team is fully focused and up for it so that we manage to bring 6 points from both of these games.

will be interesting to see peoples team selections.

Bravo will be back. Alves to start(was exceptional v Sevilla) but i wouldnt mind seeing Montoya again.. Mathieu to start instead of Mascherano? Bartra to come in instead? Xavi for Iniesta. Rafinha for Raki?

Expect to see Pedro at some stage.

Bravo; Alves, Mathieu, Bartra, Adriano; Mascherano, Xavi, Rafinha; Neymar, Messi, Pedro.

Or is this badly underestimating Valencia?

This is badly underestimating a very good team in Valencia.

Bravo - first team regular
Alves - first team regular
Mathieu - first team regular
Mascherano - first team regular
Xavi - old, but our best midfielder lately
Neymar - our youngest star attacker
Messi - GOAT

Bartra - not bad when called upon. Remember his Camp Nou performance versus PSG?
Adriano - I know, but Alba runs a lot and needs a rest imo.
Rafinha - was great versus Villarreal. Iniesta needs a rest and is probably injured, Rakitic needs a rest as well.
Pedro - not good enough for this club anymore, but tries as hard as humanly possible. We need some water-carrying after the brutal game versus PSG only two and half days before the Valencia match-up.

Valencia are good enough to beat us even if we go full strength. We barely managed to win at Mestalla where they probably deserved a point atleast. They have beaten Real Madrid and Atletico at home and drew against Atletico at the Calderon where they also could have gone on to win.

Even though this is at Camp Nou, they should not be underestimated. It's important that we win and keep the lead at top to have the psychological advantage over Real Madrid and we also have an away game vs Espanyol and Atletico to face.

There is a small button in the reply menu. It looks like a Barca shirt. Click on it and it fills in the code with zeros, just replace a zero where you want to add players.

I would replace Mathieu with Mascherano and is Alves fit to play?
