Barca to re-consider Qatar deal

I think an important factor for sponsors is Barca's strong Social Media position: ~ 150 million people following Barca. Is it known how the following breaks down by country? How many in Spain, in Europe, in the US, Middle East, Africa, Asia ...? Would Barca Board know those numbers and use them in upcoming negotiations?

I am sure the majority top clubs employ marketing agencies to go out and find the best sponsorship deals.

Without a doubt they would use figures such as social media numbers to promote the popularity of Barca.

Today's news: US soldier Bowe Bergdahl has been officially accused to have deserted the US Army June 2009 in Afghanistan.
Why is this relevant for Barca? Because he was released in 2014 by the Taliban in exchange for 5 high ranking Taliban operatives.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowe_Bergdahl

The five Taliban fighters, held by USA in Guatanamo Bay, Cuba, went to Doha, Qatar, after their release.
This proves that Qatar has strong ties to the Taliban. Qatar is playing the role of middleman - trusted both by USA and the Taliban.
That's not a crime, but Qatar's linkage to the Taliban is troubling and does not reflect in a positive way on Barca.
Something to be contemplated by the Barca Board.

In the meantime, US soccer fans are enjoying the great job done by beIN Sports - headquartered in Doha with a well-organized and extremely Barca-friendly studio in Miami ... the only game in town for fans in the US who want to watch Messi et al on a weekly basis.
