Full name: Carlos Arturo Bacca Ahumada
Date of birth: 8 September 1986 (age 27)
Place of birth: Puerto Colombia, Colombia
Height: 1.84 m (6 ft 1⁄2 in)
Playing position: Striker
Current Team: Sevilla FC

I'm surprised to see no thread for him here. Bacca was probably the best player for Sevillas offensive during 13/14 season (alongside of Ivan Rakitic) when he made 21 goals and 6 assist. I haven't watch his games but no doubt that Bacca is a very intresting player.

He's the kind of guy that'll get the job done without any fancy moves... He's there to score goals, even if he has to do it with his ear or butt, as you can see his goals come more from heart and determination than talent and elegance...

He runs his heart out off the ball and gets into so many positions to score, a very active and mobile forward. Great striker.

Top player. Arsene Wenger tried to snatch him last day of transfer window, he should have gone for him 2 months earlier, but then he wouldn't be Wenger. Fantastic player.

Even in the Belgian league (!) most people didn't think highly of him but at Sevilla he has shown how good he actually is. He shut them all up and now they're all like: "BACCA USED TO PLAY HERE."

Even Atletico Madrid tried to sign the Colombian international striker. Bacca would be a perfect complement to Mario Mandzukic, but the deal was rather difficult to implement because Sevilla's stance towards selling their most important players to Spanish clubs. Seville demanded between € 18-20 million to release Bacca, but according to journalist Carlos Hidalgo on the Spanish radio station Onda Cero, the Andalusians wasn't still not keen to let him go...

It's not bad to score 31 goal in 54 matcher for Club Brugge, Bacca should at least gain some respect.
But why didn't people in Belgium think highly of him do you think?

Because he didn't get the insane media hype that only certain players in Belgium receive.

As I said, he's not really a fancy player, he doesn't have cool moves nor a pretty face... They guy just wants to score goals and that's it...

He was voted player of the season (2012-13) by the Belgian League's players and was topscorer that season.

Well there you have it, player voted and an award based on stats. General opinion of him was that he wasn't that special, just another player... until he moved to Sevilla.
