The only position in defence we're superior in is RB. But Piqué imo is better now than any other CB you'll field to partner Vidic if Rio doesn't play. Obviously Rio and Vidic are the best CB pairing in the world though.

Yeah i agree but i wouldn't underestimate Evans at all it takes alot for Fergie to turn down 10 million for a 20 year old who was yet to play any real part in the starting line up which he did for young Evans when he has filled in for Rio its almost as if you think he has been playing first team football at United for years and years he was so composed and barely put a foot wrong he is similar to Rio so if i had to take out Rio or Vida it would be Rio because i think you need a blend of CB's you need someone who will do the dirty stuff and the put his head where it hurts but you also need a footballer back there to mop up any mistakes or spillages!

it will be intresting to see in 5 years time who comes out the better of Evans and Pique but i think at the moment they are the two standout young defenders in the world!

Imo Evans is a jack of all trades, master of none type player. I've seen him play all over the back line and has been solid yes, I never said he was bad. Just that Piqué and Alves are better players in their positions imo. It comes to the same though cause we won't have Dani in the final, but Puyol is actually a much better fullback than CB, that's what a lot of people don't realise and sometimes make the mistake of giving him space. He is strong as a bull and has insanely quick feet for a 30-year old defender. But there's no way Fergie will underestimate him

euh...i didnt even see the goal. I watched it for 10 minutes and that was enough to conclude that they are talens. The way they run around the pitch...their dribbling skills...etc...same way with messi..after his first action you could see what he can.
