Dani - won the ball countless times, and stopped most attacks on his side when he was there to defend. Crosses were better than usual.
Mascherano - the main culprit for the third goal but apart from that he won the ball several times and blocked dangerous shots, being very active in defense
Neymar - scored brilliantly but apart from that he wasn't very successful despite having a number of opportunities

HM: Messi, who came incredibly close to scoring and could've had an assist if Neymar had scored that low cross. Worked well in defense, for someone of his status. Some bad passing though.

Mascherano - if Only everyone had played as good as he did.

Xavi - Was one of the better Barca players even with an under 80% pass success

Suarez - Apart from a bit of a lack of fitness he made some good touches and runs with the ball. He could have done a little better on defense

    The Official Barcaforum.com MoM-thread award - 14/15 Edition
Real Madrid, La Liga, away (1-3)

    1. Mascherano (41,2%) The only player on Barca side who looked like he wanted to win this game ~ Corruption

    2. Suarez (26,7%) great vision and pinpoint cross to find the wide open Neymar for the goal ~ BerkeleyBernie

    3. Neymar (16,9%) scored brilliantly but apart from that he wasn't very successful despite having a number of opportunities ~ Deco 20

    Random fact(s) of the round:

    • This is the first time this season that Messi wasn't found worthy of any voting points.
    • Mascherano takes the podium for the first time this season. So far he's only been awarded 19 voting points all in all. In this solitary match he recieved 100 points.
    • After Rakitic, Munir, Ter Stegen and Samper managed to feature in the top 3 on their debuts for the first team, Suarez copied that feat, making him the 5th player to thread the podium on his debut this season.

Rules for voting are simple. Post your favorite 3 players from the given match in order from best to second best to third best, like so:

    1. Song
    2. Benatia
    3. Don Aspas

Post only 3 players. Not 1, not 2, not 4. Three, only 3. If in doubt, post 3 players.
Please abide by these rules. If nothing else, then do it for my sanity and thus the continued prosperous life of this thread.
    Thanks.

    1. Bravo- late save kept Barça in the game. If no save, game over.
    2. Mascherano- mainstay of defense keeping game close
    3. Suarez- most effective attacking player

    1. Messi- several brilliant dribbles and chances created, lacked finishing though. Best of a bad performance.
    2. Bravo- a few great saves that kept us mathematically in the game at least.
    3. Alba- did his duty and didn't particularly underperform unlike others.
