All of this was not even warranted a week banned from football...

You should at least post the original source of that, huh?

The player will be presented on Monday, the day of the Joan Gamper Trophy

Following the announcement of the verdict by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the appeal against the sanction imposed on Luis Suárez by FIFA, FC Barcelona hereby announces that the player will join the first team’s training session scheduled for tomorrow Friday at 9.30 AM CET in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

Likewise, the public presentation of Suárez as a new FC Barcelona player will be held on Monday at the Camp Nou, on occasion of the Joan Gamper Trophy match.

Isn't he supposed to go back to Uruguay to go to his grandfather?

Shocked by the decision to effectively uphold the FIFA ruling, at least he trains but really was the bare minimum they could've/should've done

He bit someone for a 3rd time, the punishment is fair. Not sure how anyone can complain.

I would think the Gamper is coming up too soon for Suarez to be able to get on the field. So, no matches scheduled where he can play for Barca until El Clasico. He will get to play 3 friendlies for Uruguay, which will help his match readiness a lot. Maybe Barca can set up an additional training match or friendly or two, like maybe vs. Barca B.

Getting rid of the training ban is great for Barca. You would think that 10 weeks of training should get the biter ready to step right into full-time first team play as soon as the suspension ends. Then Barca's comeback from the upcoming bad start in Liga and CL can begin.

He can't play friendlies with Uruguay, only with Barça.

Am pleased his ban wasn't reduced, seriously dislike him and wish we'd never signed him.Awful individual and doesn't deserve to play for Barca.

He actually seems to be a nice person. He has mental problems, but he's not awful.

If he is not allowed to play in Intl friendlies then that must be because FIFA view them as official matches. In that case he'll most likely be back for the Copa America next summer.

Or, at least, for the latter stages of the Copa America.

I'm seeing contradictory reports. Some say he can play friendlies with uruguay, others that he can't. Quite a mess. That's what happens when there aren't clear rules for those sort of things... all open to interpretation.
