So today is the draw for the Play-Off Round. In the 3rd Qualifying round there weren't many surprises.

Torino had it easy with a team from Sweeden they defeated 7-0 agg.
Real Sociedad eliminated Aberdeen 5-2.
Dinamo Moscow struggled with Ironi Kiryat Shmona and only won 3-2.
Hull City had trouble with Trecin from Slovakia, only won 2-1.
Viktoria Plzen ( who Barca know from the CL and Napoli will remember forever after the game on Sao Paolo ) were demolished by the best coke player in the history as Adi Mutu helped Petrolul thrash them 5-2 with a super goal and an assist only a master like him can offer.
Shakhter Karagandy had 4-2 in the first leg with Hajduk Split and lost 3-0 in Croatia.
Astra Giurgiu ( ex. Ploiesti, just like Petrolul ) took care of another Czech team, making 2/2 against them this round with a 6-2 score.
CFR Cluj weren't supposed to be in Europe this season, but they profited from the fact the better placed 2 teams above them weren't allowed to play in Europe and lost to some nobodies from Dinamo Minsk, they aren't the team that were owning Olimpico and Old Trafford anymore.
Finally, Lech Poznan was surprised by a team from Iceland and knocked out, Poland in trouble.
Oh, and brilliant Bundesliga team Mainz managed to be K.O. by Asteras Tripoli, I remember them getting mugged of an EL position by Pandurii Tg. Jiu, some nobodies from Oltenia a few years ago, lol Bundesliga storng :xavi:.

So the draw will look like this:

OL vs. Astra Giurgiu and Petrolul Ploiesti vs. Dinamo Zagreb.

It's interesting to see if Giurgiu come to Bucharest's National Arena to play with Lyon, their home stadium is BETA, they just moved a few months ago from Ploiesti there as it was worthless to stay there where everybody supports Petrolul.

Villareal has to travel to Astana :xavi:, Legia also to Kazahstan .

2 goals in the last 2 minutes they conceded.

Looks like they will have an awful season.

Hopefully we can finally win in their stadium.

The winner of the EL will get a CL spot, from now on. Now this competition has a better reason to exist.

It's a change that was needed, but still a worthless competition

So many games, with little financial reward, waste of time

How about if the finalists already booked a CL spot by winning their respective leagues or getting the CL spots?

This is what I found:

The UEFA Executive Committee held in May 2013 approved the following changes to the UEFA Champions League starting from the 2015–16 season (for the three-year cycle until the 2017–18 season):

The winners of the previous season's UEFA Europa League will qualify for the UEFA Champions League. They will enter at least the play-off round, and will enter the group stage if the berth reserved for the Champions League title holders is not used.

The previous limit of a maximum of four teams per association will be increased to five, meaning that if the Champions League title holders or the Europa League title holders are from the top three ranked associations and finish outside the top four of their domestic league, the fourth-placed team of their association will not be prevented from participating in the tournament.
