I didn't know the four are exempt from 50+1. Makes sense. When you have sugar daddies with deep pockets backing you, you don't really need that chump change. It is St. Pauli being St. Pauli, I love them, always do.

Who is going to become the majority shareholder of Hannover 96?

There is a clause in the 50+1 rule that says that if an investors owns the major shares of a club for 20 years, then he can ignore 50+1 from now on and buy the whole club.
Martin Kind, the president of Hannover 96 was the one who enabled that clause after going to court against the DFL. And, surprisingly, Martin Kind will also be the first one to have been a 20yr shareholder for his club, which means that in 2017, he will buy the club and then sell them to a private Billionaires-club (that he's also part of).

But yeah, the whole petition is unrealistic and would never get accepted. The point behind this was as you said

St. Pauli is one of the biggest left populist clubs in germany. They have to cause a bit of a stir everynow and then and be controversial, bringing "tradition" and "commerce" into the discussion all that, to maintain their image. They know that their petition won't be succesful, even if it would be, it would be a huge backfire for small teams like them, especially in the lower leagues.

Bayern is critisizing central marketing for decades already. If some clubs will now get excluded and are allowed to market themselves, this will just vindicate them. And without Bayern the system is doomed, because they are the biggest contributor to the TV money pot.

Hmmm, Yannik, since 50+1 doesn't really apply to them, I wonder what is stopping the likes of Bayer AG and Volkswagen from injecting more money into their respective clubs to make them more competitive?

I am a lefty so I am naturally attracted to the renown St. Pauli, the beacon of our ideology. What do you mean by the huge backfire and small teams being affected? A lot of small teams in the lower leagues are also exempt from 50+1 or something?

And lastly, kindly please explain the part about Buli's central marketing. What is it and how is it different from say that of La Liga and the EPL?

2-0 for Mönchengladbach over Bayern with 25 mins go. The home side is playing some absolutely tasty attacking football, making a complete fool of the Bayern defense time and time again in the second half.

Tough game for Dortmund away to Wolfsburg

If they win, the gap is only 5 points.

Not bad at all, but they need to win big time.

Bayern was dominating the majority of the first half but failed to convert the best chances. Gladbach came back in 2nd half.
