If he doesn't go then Verratti will probably take his place. Prandelli had been testing him as a trequartista in training sessions. Other than him, Aquilani is really the only other one who would fit there. I'm not a Montolivo fan (especially for the Azzurri, because I've never been impressed with him playing in that role) but out of him and Aquilani, Monto is the better player.

I like hating on Italy (not too sure why), I think Suarez and Cavani are both overrated and I dislike how everyone is always like "OMG England overrated" because nobody actually rates them (besides me ofc)
