Interesting. National team coaches earn significantly less than their collegues managing top, or even average, clubs.

It's only fair as they have a lot less to do though.

Sure. But World Cup winners del Bosque and Low deserve more in comparison to club coaches. Pressure on both is immense too.

Why is Slutsky coaching Russia for free? I know he's also CSKA Moscow coach at the same time so Russian Federation maybe can't pay him officialy for his job as NT coach?

He's getting big bonuses for every win, clean sheet and etc, something like that.

Why is it even possible to coach a club in the same league as the country you are coaching, it's impossible to be objective when selecting players.

If he is having succsess at his club team it could be a great advantage especially if that team contains the core of a national team. Also means the cska players would be well used to his system have good chemistry together and get to train regularly with their national coach. Then aĺl he has to do is call up the other russian players and integrate them into his system

    Russia : For free !

Hahaha, Putin is a good businessman apparently!
The Internet is full of tribute videos with some version of the title "Messi doesn't dive" a trait rare in a sport where players roll around on the ground like gunshot victims when an opponent so much as breathes on them.

Theories abound about why Messi won't fall, about his character or his respect for the game, but I think it's much simpler. If he dives, he loses the ball.
