Josep Maria Bartomeu

Barto deserves to get voted out by a historic record amount of soci votes in the midst of a pandemic even when there are no fans in attending games.

Barto's legacy deserves this humiliation.

He deserves that and on the top of that:
being held legally accountable for the financial mess he put the club into.

Seeing Barto in jail like his buddy Rossell would be an immense joy

There are some quite knowledgeable people in here. Can you answer this..

How does Bartomeu have this control over Sport and Mundo Deportivo? As shown right now by complete absence of the motion of no confidence.

Aren?t these independent newspaper that should cover news objectively?

Is it just Bartomeu? Or did former Barca presidents have this control too?

They probably have received huge cash or have some insider working there. Sport also have some Connection to the Neymar family

Sport and Mundo should be banned

Only a minimum of 10% of the total socis are needed to be present to vote for the phase 2. From those minimum 10%, we need 2/3 vote to cast Bartomeu aside.

Ok, this is getting frustrating.

Could someone provide any reliable information whether what Khaled says is correct or what George_Costanza says?

Edit: @soul24rage Thanks!

This makes it clear. It's 'of the votes' not of the 'total number of socios'
Meaning there is more than good chance.

Seems soul24rage is right. This is from Barca website:

“The vote of no confidence will only be accepted if two thirds or more of the votes are in its favour, as long as the number of these is a minimum of 10 percent of the members of the club”

So it’s 2/3rds of the votes collected.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

Now that it's clear how feasible it is to vote them out when it comes to numbers, you can anticipate that Barto and his gang will not take it lightly.
They will take up the challenge, and do everything possible to block and sabotage the next steps before voting of no confidence can take place:
Either invalidating some signatures through the special body ('Table for the Vote of No Confidence') formed for that purpose
Or making sure an assembly to vote the board out cannot be called in the midst of the pandemic.

Be ready: It will get as dirty as possible.
We saw how ruthless Barto was with Messi, but above all how ruthless he was with making sure they will even destroy the club to not get held liable for financial mishandling.
This is a war for them.

For the record, I think it is highly unlikely that 10% of Socios will show up in the voting. Will give it less than 30% chance
It will be more of moral loss, that could make political pressure on them to resign

Connections, we leak everything to them, which is something media loves.
Laporta went on war with them, so they made him the enemy.
There is also political and business angles to it.
Usually you need the right balance with the media, make them allies but for the better of the club.

What's the source of your information?

My source came from the official FC Barcelona website with the Club Statutes of 2018

https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/organisation-and-strategic-plan/commissions-and-bodies/statutes

Article 55.5 paragraph 3 (PDF file pg. number 45). The PDF file is in Catalan, below is the translated version.

Actually the above statement is unclear and confusing. Read it carefully.

As per statement above you may think:

-We need 2/3 of 10% of total member. Total members 141 to 156k, depends on the total number of members with a right to vote on the day of the presentation of the vote must be taken into account. Let's assume 10% of 156k, so we need 2/3 of 15,600, so it comes to 10.4k. This is can't be true. It means Barto is gone!

OR

-Break the statement above into two rounds. Round one 10% of total members which is very close to 16.5k, (19k votes collected). Then round 2 2/3 of total members of 156k. For me, this makes more sense!

All sport journalists reporting the second one. Only Diana saying otherwise because she probably confused by the statement.

This is from ESPN for Benedito 2017 Vote of no confidence:

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/bar...of-no-confidence-over-unacceptable-management

"If they achieve that, the vote of no confidence would then be put to the entire membership base in the form of a referendum. Two-thirds of a potential 154,000 voters would have to go against the board in the second stage in order for an election to be called".
