Why isn't Laporta getting in on this? He had connections with former players and journalists who can come in support for the vote. Heck he can even talk with Pep, him taking part in the signatures will mean a lot.

He's worried about whether the timing is right and I agree with him.

People like shiny stuff.

If they manage to pull off Dembele/Coutinho or both, this is going to fail spectacularly.

And you have to wait an entire year for next try.

Regarding Catalan socios, the election is pretty much about politics among the penyas than football itself. Rosell has been a very popular guy among the conservative penya groups (which are the majority of socios) and that is why many old-generation socios are still against Laporta who has been taking a progressive stance on club issues for long time. And Rosell also had influence on the election when Laporta became a president. Benedito, like Laporta, is also not that popular among penyas. For socios, its more about who they like than what would be the best for the club from a sporting perspective.

Lets get a reality check, Barto will go nowhere, this vote of no confidence is as useful as Suarez finishing, socios cant be bothered with this shit, visca el farto, gonna be stomping on this club with his dirty shoes for the next 5 years.
