Yeah, you're probably right. The only way I could see us getting rid of him is on loan while covering big part of his wages. And tbh I'd actually do that. Him not being here next season would improve the team. We just can't get into the season counting on Umtiti as our 3rd CB on paper with inexperienced Araujo as the only other CB behind Pique and Lenglet.

This lineup wouldn't be so bad.
Messi would actually stay on the wing to play with Alves so right flank would be functional again and Suarez would also have more space, Pjanić would bring some creativity to midfield and Pedro would ran his ass off for the two walking amigos upfront. With current CL format I would give them good odds to win it all unless Luiz would f*** something up.
They wouldn't do much over the length of a full season though.

Here are more oldies with expiring contracts, we should get some of them.
More players. There are some youngsters like Kouassi (I wouldn't mind him but he has apparently already signed with Bayern), Aouchiche, Sarr and Angel Gomes in there as well.
Damn, I forgot Willian, but we might actually get him at some point, so I don't want to make fun of that. Thiago Silva is a good option too. Barto should consider some of our proposals.
