There are rumors Sanabria could leave Barca soon as he's looking for first team football already.

Verdu (agent Sanabria): "Tony's dream is to play at Barcelona's first team, but he wants that fast. We're open to talk if Barça reconsider."

Verdu (agent Sanabria): "Barcelona B is history already. Besides financial aspect, important clubs also want Tony to join their first team."

Verdu (agent Sanabria): "Tony is closer to leaving than to staying, although in football you can't say anything until it's signed." [95.5fm]

If those quotes are real, he can go. He's too young to demand 1st team already.

Where are those even from?

If true, he should realize that even Messi had to be eased into the team.

The quotes are from barcastuff. From an interview raul verdu gave to a paraguayan radio, 95.5fm. This was on sport and marca too.

And more now, from rac1:

Roma and Arsenal are the two clubs who are most interested in Barcelona B forward Tony Sanabria (17). Roma's offer would be highest. [rac1]

Verdu (agent Sanabria): "We're waiting for a new meeting with the club. If he leaves, that could already be in January." [rac1]

He should just be given a first team contract and then get benched indefinitely for pulling something like this.

Just let him go. No need to keep such egos at a club like Barça no matter how good they are.
If you see our attack is: Messi, Neymar, Alexis, Pedro, Tello,... With Afellay & Cuenca "out" and Deulofeu loaned out as well... and you demand a place in the first team?

Who is he going to out-play from that list?

The flip side to this debate is that a young forward sees the talent who are ahead of him on the 1st team along with the cantera players who have barely played and suddenly it looks less promising you'll get much of a shot even within a few years

Balance that against 1st team minutes and money elsewhere when everyone is pursuing you and its less an issue of greed than feasibility...only question is would he accept a loan out like Deulofeu?

He's not Catalan and already capped for the senior NT...its normal that he sees his moment being now...For those who've seen or know little about the striker, know this- he is a massive talent

Would be gutted to see him off but everyone has their own path...no reason to be upset with the player

He's 17 and demands first team action? Goodbye, next Bojan.

If he leaves in summer ,he will be 18 ,just like Adnan Januzaj this year ,it is never awkward for a talented player to be promoted when he is 18

If true, he should realize that even Messi had to be eased into the team.

Messi was 1st team player at his Sanabria current age ,by next season Antonio will be at same age when Messi was a starter in 2005/2006 season(until he was injured) ,sure Messi is one of all time greats ,but it is normal for a player to hope he can get same path

He is not even the first team player for Barca B
and that is probably the reason to leave ,he is probably better than any other starting Forward in Barca B not named Adama and he isn't playing ,I think his agent saying B team is history is more to put pressure ,won't be surprised if they accept a deal that grant him a place in first team in 2015

we have a bad coaching ,the Barca B team has been getting older by time leaving our young players staying for longer time than they used to be 5-6 years ago ,in 2007 it was normal to see 16 years old players with Barca B ,now it is rarely happens you get a chance even if you are younger than 18 to get playing time with Barca B ,you can argue that policy is good because it will will help us not having another Bojan but look it other way around
in our 90's born player ,Tello and Cuenca will leave soon ,neither has place in 1st team ,Montoya isn't given the chance he deserves and may leave for free next year ,Bartra has just started to get real chance to prove himself ,while he is just few weeks away from being 23 even though we have CB crisis for like 3 years now ,Thiago has waited in B team more than any talent like him would wait, the result? let's not even start talking about it ,Deulofue and Rafinha loaned out ,which in the last decade has been a nice way to get rid of the young players we have seen no future for them in 1st team ,both could be different but it remains to be seen .S.Roberto is rozen on the bench ,JDS should have been sold 2 years ago
Honestly ,Staying for few years in Barca B for few years won't look good to me If I was him ,his agent is doing the right thing for the kid tbh ,we have not managed promoting our youth players well in the Rosell/Zubi era and we need to fix that for sake of La Masia

Please stop it. what has Sanabria shown to be better than Dongou,Munir,or Sandro, he has nothing on these other three prospects, he never lit up the youth system like those three.
