I mean it's overprized but when Chelsea wants 65 for Willian that's probably fair

It is quite different. Defenders tend to be cheaper and he is not wanted at BM, while Willian is a starter. Take into consideration that JB gets injured quite a lot.

Boateng is also a starter. In much better club.

And twice the player.

Then why do BM want to sell him?
Think it's more of If they get a really good offer they won't stand in his way but if not he will stay. It's like us with Cillessen, we want him to stay but if we get a really good offer and he wants to go he can leave.

In the grand scheme of things people would wonder why would Bayern consider selling him as he's one of the Best CBs in the world when in form? it comes down to his bad injury record as of recently and with him getting older and having players such as Sule in the wings I don't blame them.

He's older, injury prone and has declined. Price is a joke, btw. I was only answering to 'starter' part.

I had to check.

Last season:

Hummels played 26 league games = 2.213
Süle played 27 league games = 1.919
Boateng played 19 league games = 1.644

Süle was on the bench for 7 league games
Boateng was on the bench for 7 league games and for 8 games was out of the squad due to injury

Total minutes
Süle = 2.957
Boateng = 2.621

I am not sure, but reports stated that BM want to sell him.

But he started all the important games. He's their starter, no doubt. But just like we wouldn't mind selling Pique now... doesn't mean he's not a starter.

He always got criticized by press and even the club mainly for not being focused on football 100%. He seems to care a bit too much about social media and his lifestyle/brand thing with Jay Z these days. On a side note Alaba seems to go into this direction as well and he isn't anywhere near his best level too.

Add his injuries, the development of Süle, the possibility of Pavard joining and the fact that he always said playing in another league might be interesting and you get a good picture of why they would let him go.

But the huge 60+ mil price tag they (supposedly) gave him should also tell that they don't want him gone at all costs.
